Two values I strive for in the therapy room are understanding and security. When you walk through my door, I want you to feel the kind of safety that allows you to get cozy on the sofa and take a deep breath before diving into what matters most to you. Throughout the process, my hope is that all parts of you - those you love and know well and those that you struggle with or push away in your daily life - feel welcome, seen, appreciated, and understood. Whether you’re in a season of transition or pain, you want to more fully explore your story, or you desire a deeper connection with your inner world, I’d be honored to join you in that place of connection and transformation.

I work with an integrated and holistic approach of evidence-based therapeutic models including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness to help my clients find healing and connection within themselves and with others. My aim is to support my clients in wading through their overwhelming thoughts and emotions to find strength, compassion, and curiosity within themselves. I primarily work with adult individuals and low-conflict couples who want to enhance or strengthen their relationships. Some areas of clinical focus include: trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief/loss, sexual abuse, self esteem, codependency, and relationship distress.

I graduated with my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lipscomb University with a specialization in client-centered play therapy and expressive arts. I hold a license as an MFT in the state of Tennessee (license #1774). Before becoming a clinician, I graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Human and Organizational Development and worked as a preschool teacher in the Nashville area.

I am trained in somatic and attachment focused EMDR Levels 1 and 2 and Level 1 of Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). I am also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and in Mental Health First Aid. If you’d like to learn more about EMDR or IFS, please visit the FAQs page.
